Welcome to the ‘Spirituality and Recovery’ course. This course will give you the opportunity to learn about spirituality and the role it can play in mental health recovery. This course does not promote any particular belief system or religion. Rather, it will give you the chance to explore what spirituality means to you and how you can develop your own sense of spirituality.
This course was created in collaboration with Colin Jay, Chaplain, Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust.
This course is made up of five sections. Each section of this course will take approximately one to one and a half hours to complete, but this timing will depend on how fast you read and how long you spend on the reflective questions. You do not need to complete the whole course in one go. We would recommend having regular breaks whilst doing this course, a good place to break would be at the end of a section. If you leave and come back to the course, it will remember where you got up to.
